About the Speaker

Toby Landau QC is a practising barrister and arbitrator specialising in international and commercial law, particularly international and commercial arbitration, and is recognised as one of the rising stars of arbitration.

As an arbitrator, Toby has acted in over 50 major international arbitrations under a variety of global rules (ICSID, ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL), including numerous investment treaty cases.

Toby has been actively involved in the drafting of various International Arbitration Acts (English Arbitration Act 1996, Mauritius International Arbitration Act 2008, new UNCITRAL Arbitrational Rules), giving him a unique understanding of the procedural and process improvements required to ensure the future of international arbitration.
